8:45am and 10:30am Worship
Worship livestream message by Pastor Adrian Kitson
Our “worship small’ is now filmed livestream which means you can watch the current Sunday worship any time from 8.45 am and 10.30am on Sunday morning – and any time after that.
What is this post-resurrection life meant to look like? Is it only for super-spiritual people who can move mountains with prayer and power on through any suffering with a smile? Or is it more realistic and meaningful and doable than that?
Today we hear a little account of another sign of God’s gracious power at work to resurrect his world. It is something we have seen and heard before in the account of Jesus’ pre-resurrection ministry, but now we hear the exact same things in this new post-resurrection community, and not at the hands of Jesus, but at the hands of that faulty but fully restored and reinstated Peter. This sign of the new resurrection Lord still present and active happens for a community of believers and a particular woman named Tabitha. Peter simply does what he has seen and heard the Master do, and God blesses his faithfulness. As a result, many put their faith in Jesus, alive and ruling in the world.
