Sunday 13th February

Today we ponder Jesus’ words of blessing and woe and find these words hard to understand because they are so ‘upside down’ to us. Who we call blessed may not be who God is blessing and who we call cursed may not be who God is warning and judging. But this is Jesus of Nazareth speaking. This is the Son of God who will lay down his life for the blessed and the cursed and his healing life will flow from him to the blessed and the cursed.

May you receive the woes and blessing words from the Saviour, so you be blessed to be his blessing to those around you coming to hear him and searching for hope and healing.
