Messy Church is church for people of all ages – children, singles, couples, families and seniors. Whether you’re a Christian, curious about God, unsure about what you believe or don’t believe, or just searching for meaning and purpose, you’re warmly invited to attend. Messy Church is a Christ-centred celebration, that values hospitality and creativity. It is typically held once every six weeks and a friendly community to be a part of!

WHEN
4pm – 6pm at St Petri Hall

WHAT
When you arrive, you will be warmly welcomed and introduced to a selection of fun and creative themed activities to be involved in from 4pm – 5pm, or you may simply choose to enjoy connecting with others. After 5pm a short message is shared on our theme for the day, through puppets/skits/bible stories/testimonies etc. At 5.30pm we enjoy ‘food time’ together, with plenty of lively conversation whilst watching photos on the big screen that were taken throughout Messy Church. 6pm is home time!

Messy Church offers craft and activities, a short creative message, food and friendship for all ages.

Sometimes yes! Some of our activities are messy and some are not. That’s part of our creative, joyful fun. The word ‘messy’ has more to do with our ‘come as you are’ welcome to everyone.

Everyone is welcome at Messy Church. Whether you’re a Christian, curious about God, unsure about what you believe or don’t believe, you’re warmly invited to attend.

Not at all. While it’s very child friendly, people of all ages are part of the Messy Church family.
Usually every 6 weeks on a Friday afternoon from 4-6pm.

There’s no cost. But there is an opportunity for a coin donation to go towards food costs, should you choose.

All Messy Church leaders/volunteers hold a current Working with Children’s Check & LCA Safe Church Training to help provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Parent/carer supervision is required at all times.
