Community Song

The ministry of supporting the people of God in the singing of the faith is important for St Petri. We have opportunities for people of varying musical backgrounds and skills levels to sing and play instruments in the public gathering of God’s people.

We have two organists and four bands. The organists share the load and the bands work on a four-week roster, which means that people only need to rehearse and play once per month (usually).

It also means that band members can get to know each other well and gain friendship and support in those relationships.

We host some social functions and training/support events for our singers and musicians throughout the year.

You don’t need to be a rock star! We all learn together at St Petri.
